AISL-198 Junior Kafka DevOps

As a Junior DevOps Engineer , you’ll be entrusted with managing, optimizing, and evolving Kafka-based infrastructure that supports real-time data processing across the organization. This is your chance to take ownership of a core technology and grow your skills alongside experienced professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and manage Kafka clusters in production environments
• Optimize Kafka performance (topics, partitions, replication, throughput)
• Automate infrastructure with Terraform, Ansible, and scripting tools
• Monitor and troubleshoot system performance using tools like Dynatrace, ELK, Splunk
• Ensure robust security and compliance (SSL/TLS, RBAC, Kerberos)
• Collaborate with developers and DevOps teams on event-driven architecture
• Provide technical support, document procedures, and contribute to internal knowledge base
• Participate in shift-based support, including occasional 24/7 on-call availability

Your Profile

• 2+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Kafka administration
• Solid hands-on knowledge of Apache Kafka and distributed systems
• Comfortable with Python, Bash, and tools like Terraform & Ansible
• Familiar with Kafka Connect, Zookeeper, KSQL, and Schema Registry
• Experience with Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Understanding of networking, security, access control
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Fluent in English (written & spoken); any other EU language is a plus.
