What You'll Do

As an Analyst – BCG Vantage on our Topic Activation path for the topic of Marine Ports and Shipping, within the Logistic, Parcel/Postal and Shipping (LPS) sector of BCG’s Travel, Cities and Infrastructure (TCI) Practice Area, you will work in a growing global team, providing maritime expertise, ideally combined with functional know‑how (e.g.: in sustainability, digitalization, marketing, sales and pricing, and/or other functions) and insights, working together with BCG case and proposal teams to deliver customized knowledge assets and expert advisory.

Additionally, you will support your topic in developing existing & new intellectual property and knowledge assets. You will work on commercialization efforts for the topic/sector, with business leaders, supporting marketing efforts, conferences and publications. As an Analyst – BCG Vantage you will assist with on‑boarding, training and guiding junior colleagues and share best practices within the team.

Travel, Cities and Infrastructure

• Travel, Transport Infrastructure & Leisure (TTL)
• Logistics, Parcel/Postal & Shipping (LPS)
• Cities, Infrastructure Development, Real Estate & Tourism (CRT)

YOU'RE GOOD AT

• Solving client problems through formulating relevant research and/or analytical approaches for marine ports and shipping and specific functional aspects (e.g.: sustainability, digitalization)
• Applying maritime expertise when contributing to building and deploying a product/tool/data, taking different client contexts into account
• Embracing new technologies and working solutions (e.g.: genAI)
• Working collaboratively and effectively in a group dynamic often virtual, proficient in agile ways of working
• Communicating with senior stakeholders, being credible and proactive
• Framing, structuring, and sharing intellectual property, with the ability to write clearly and concisely
• Working creatively and analytically in a time‑limited, problem‑solving environment
• Flexibility and bring a curious and creative mindset, open for new things and able to propose innovative ideas
• Ability to navigate complexity and ambiguity
• Interacting with internal and external stakeholders while working in a global collaborative team environment

What You'll Bring

• Master's degree relevant to maritime topic; 1+ year of relevant work experience in maritime preferred
• Or Bachelor's degree, with strict minimum of 1+ year consulting experience or 2+ years of relevant industry work experience in maritime industry
• Fluency in English; other languages like German or Spanish is a plus
• Strong business acumen and problem‑solving capabilities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
