Area of responsibility

DRV Bund IT is the service provider for the German Federal Pension Insurance Fund (DRV Bund) and develops and operates a complex IT system landscape in close consultation with its customers. Our IT department manages the software for maintaining insured persons' accounts, determining pensions, and providing rehabilitation services within the DRV Bund. We provide programming, quality assurance, and support for databases in the rvSystem and in-house applications, among other things, and create, maintain, and service software components as part of our subsystem work.

Your tasks

• Organizational and technical deputy management of a subsystem
• Actively designing and managing the assigned tasks with a high level of service in view of the requirements of the carriers for the DRV-IT rvSystem. Creating, maintaining, and servicing Cobol programs and JavaEE applications within the scope of subsystem work. Developing and implementing quality assurance measures
• Implementing and supporting IT and technical tasks of the subsystem
• Representing the subsystem in DRV-internal and cross-departmental IT projects and working groups

Your profile

• A successfully completed university degree (bachelor's or diploma) in IT or an equivalent qualification, for example based on an IT-specific qualification or completed vocational training in IT or comparable practical experience of several years in IT
• Several years of relevant professional experience in IT
• Very good up-to-date knowledge and practical experience in software development with Cobol.
• Practical professional experience with agile tools and methods (Jira, Confluence, Scrum).
• Business fluent German, both written and spoken
• Knowledge of JavaEE, PL/SQL, and the Linux operating system is desirable
• A strong customer focus and excellent communication and teamwork skills round off your profile
