About the Role

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a talented in‑house Application Specialist to be based in our Hamburg office. As our new Application Specialist, you will be the main driver in installing software and ensuring integration into existing systems, including networks and virtual servers. You’ll be the in‑house regional expert on software systems, responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining applications while providing technical support and training to users.

Responsibilities

  • Review and support customers' calibration and application requirements.
  • Update calibrations as needed and write calibration reports.
  • Implement user seminars.
  • Provide performance support, maintain strong customer relationships, and ensure high‑quality calibration service.
  • Support sales with application expertise.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., chemistry, engineering, food science, agriculture, or a related discipline).
  • Experience with analytical instruments.
  • Knowledge of statistics and statistics package software/Matlab.
  • Experience in chemometrics and use of modelling tools.
  • Experience in PC‑related topics (SQL database, PC setup, network setup, virtual server).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Fluent English and German, written and spoken.
  • Willingness and ability to travel locally and internationally.
  • Knowledge of MS Office and CRM systems is desirable.
