Gensler’s Berlin office is seeking an experienced Architect with strong leadership skills, technical skills, and experience in the data centre and critical facilities sectors. You are experienced in Revit, and a highly motivated individual with a proactive attitude and eager to learn, then apply now.
What You Will Do
As an Architect (m/f/d), you will tap into your creativity to design unique professional environments, providing technical support for completion and execution of projects, working on all project stages. You are:
- Capable of managing multiple architectural projects simultaneously
- Able to manage design teams, designing and delivering major projects for hyperscale and co-location clients, and as well as other professional service clients.
- Experienced at managing project lifecycle; estimating, bidding, project kick-off, weekly coordination, punch / snagging lists, turnover, opening, and project close-out.
- Continuously supporting communication between project team, clients, consultants, vendors, contractors, and building and permitting officials.
- Able to provide technical guidance and innovative solutions to resolve complex technical and design challenges.
- Experienced in reviewing and creating specifications.
- Experienced in conducting and documenting site visits, process submittals, substitution requests, and RFI’s during construction.
Your Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Architecture
- 7-10 years of professional experience post-graduation
- Strong leadership, organizational, communication and relationship-management skills
- Solid experience in the planning and execution of data centers and mission-critical facilities
- Experience in project leadership, excellent client liaison and team management skills
- Have a proactive, solution oriented attitude and be able to work closely with the wider consultancy team to develop innovative technical design solutions
- Comprehensive experience in managing architectural projects holistically throughout the entire project lifecycle (HOAI Phases 1–6, 8–9) – from design and permitting through construction documentation to successful completion and handover
- Experience with the full project lifecycle
- Ability to understand how buildings are constructed and to create technical documents that succinctly describe the work to be done
- Proficiency in Revit
- Fluency in both German and English is essential to the role
- Registered Architect in Germany is a plus
- Willingness to travel to project sites across Europe
