Area Manager in Frankfurt

Location: On‑site in Frankfurt, Germany (previously mentioned Cologne, Germany). The role will be based in Frankfurt and reports directly to the Operations Team.
What you’ll do
As an Area Manager at LAP Coffee, you will play an important role in supporting our growth in Frankfurt. You will oversee day‑to‑day store operations, including staffing, sales, P&L, and customer experience, while having the opportunity to step in front of the counter to lead by example.
- P&L ownership: responsible for the financial activity, performance, and business strategy of a set of stores.
- Project planning: develop action plans for building a business set for growth in collaboration with our Founders and Operations Director.
- Team alignment: lead Area Meetings, encourage open, honest, collaborative business planning, and create a supportive environment with a strong succession plan.
- Collaboration: share company initiatives, act as a culture ambassador, and contribute to an engaging and inspiring environment.
- Continuous improvement: drive improvement by meeting quality objectives and standards and creating initiatives to make the customer experience outstanding.
What you bring
- At least 5 years of leadership operational experience in retail F&B, ideally with a mix of international retail food and beverage chains (coffee industry experience a massive plus).
- Strong familiarity with relevant metrics that impact a retail F&B business, how to interpret them and drive action.
- Experience with employee performance management, benefits and incentive programs that contribute to a winning culture.
- Willingness to occasionally travel to explore new locations and meet with potential partners.
- Entrepreneurial, solution‑oriented, and excited to work on the full cycle of building a start‑up and tackling any topic that needs to be done.
- Creative flair and an eye for spotting growth opportunities; able to ideate, test and fail fast within tight deadlines and budget constraints.
- Fluent in English and German at a professional level.
