Chaberton Professionals , a division of Chaberton Partners dedicated to the search and selection of middle and top management profiles, is currently looking for a Sales Area Manager for a historic Italian winery famous for its sparkling wines and located in the heart of the Prosecco Superiore DOCG area.

This important company exports to over 50 countries and has won numerous awards from Decanter, Mundus Vini and the International Wine Challenge, as well as excellent ratings from Wine Spectator, James Suckling and Gambero Rosso. The Sales Area Manager will be part of the existing German commercial organization and will support the sales activities in the HoReCa Channel (On Trade Premise) across West Germany and Switzerland.

OVERALL ACTIVITIES:

  • Support the execution of the German sales strategy
  • Define and implement a distribution network dedicated to the Suisse HoReCa Channel
  • Strengthening of the business relations with existing clients (wholesalers, HoReCa customers, liquor stores) through personal visits and mentorship of the commercial partner’s sales team
  • Development and implementation of the sales, promoting the brand through direct contact with major stakeholders
  • Fulfilment of the sales plan in order to achieve the commercial and financial goals defined by the Company
  • Support the development of the activities dedicated to the brand visibility while strengthening brand value growth
  • Administrative, budgeting and reporting activities.

HORECA CHANNEL ACTIVITIES GERMANY:

  • Implementation of the commercial strategies defined by the Company
  • Retention and reinforcement of the business relationship with the clients (restaurants, bar, hotels, clubs etc.)
  • Management of the existing local restaurants portfolio of the distribution partners (Wholesalers), support and mentorship of the distribution partner’s sales team, supervision and monitoring of the actual product purchase and loyalty to the Valdo Brand of our distribution partner’s clients
  • Development with the distribution partner of the necessary sales activities to ensure the achievement of the strategic goals
  • Search and acquisition of potential new Ho.Re.Ca. clients through autonomous visits and/or together with the distribution partner’s sales force
  • Support and training of the distribution partners to increase their knowledge of the “Prosecco & Spumanti categories” and at the same time to ensure a solid knowledge of the products we market
  • Frequent visits of all the distribution partners giving priority to those that are strategically more relevant.
  • Constant analysis of the business development vs defined goals.
  • Search, selection and acquisition of new distribution partners (wholesalers) in regions not yet covered according to the defined strategies:
  • Search of potential distribution partners that fit with the company concerning both professionalism and structural organization
  • Contact the selected distribution partners, introduction of the Company, the products, the marketing support and the commercial strategies that are developable through the partnership
  • Support the commercial/administrative activities
  • Development of budgeting processes by Channel
  • Analysis and periodic control of the business development compared to the budget goals
  • Development of activities to support the budget fulfilment taking into account the Company/Channel commercial strategies and economic resources available
  • Preparation of a periodic business reporting (with an insight of the developed activities) to be shared with the Channel Managers
  • Presence and organizations of fairs/events
  • Gathering of business intelligence concerning market prices, competition and overall market development
  • Creation of creative business presentations to be used in meetings with existing or potential new clients
  • Support of the business development in the DACH Area referred to tailor made projects

HORECA CHANNEL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT SWITZERLAND:

  • Define a plan with dedicated P&L to start marketing our products into the Suisse HoReCa Channel
  • Search of potential distribution partners focusing on high value products
  • Contact the selected distribution partners introducing our Company, products, marketing support and goals
  • Supporting the development of our presence across the Country
  • Support to commercial/administrative and planning activities
  • Development of budgeting processes of the channel at Country level
  • Analysis and periodic control of the business development compared to the budget goals
  • Development of activities in order to support the budget fulfilment taking into account the Company/Channel commercial strategies and economic resources available
  • Preparation of a periodic business reporting (with an insight of the developed activities) to be shared with the Sales Manager
  • Presence and organizations of fairs/events both by our distribution partners and by their clients taking full advantage of the EU funds that can contribute to penetrate territory and clients
  • Gathering of business intelligence concerning market prices, competition and overall market development
  • Creation of creative business presentations to be used in meetings with existing or potential new clients.
  • Support of the business development in the DACH Area referred to tailor made projects

The person identified will report to the DACH Sales Manager.
