ASIC Project Manager

Overview

This ASIC Design Project Manager role is ideal for someone who began their career as a hands-on ASIC design engineer and has since moved into project or programme leadership. It offers the opportunity to stay close to the technical detail while taking ownership of delivery across complex digital ASIC developments. You won’t be a coordinator removed from the engineering — you’ll be a technical leader who understands the realities of design and can guide teams with credibility.

Responsibilities

• Leading digital ASIC programmes from concept through tape-out and manufacturing.
• Coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams and external IP/design partners.
• Managing project plans, milestones, risks and technical dependencies.
• Supporting key technical decisions by ensuring alignment between architecture, design and delivery timelines.
• Providing structured reporting and clear communication to engineering and senior leadership.

What You’ll Bring

• Previous hands-on experience in digital ASIC design before transitioning into project leadership.
• Strong understanding of ASIC design methodologies and development lifecycles.
• Experience managing cross-functional ASIC projects in technically complex environments.
• Confidence working with outsourced design partners and supply chains.
• Structured, pragmatic approach with the ability to influence experienced engineering teams.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
