Assistant Manager - Fiber Design

Role Summary:

The Fibre Services Manager is responsible for managing the delivery, maintenance, and enhancement of fiber optic services to customers. This role focuses on ensuring high-quality service provision, coordinating service-related activities, managing customer relationships, and leading teams to achieve operational excellence in fiber network services.

Technical skill requirements:

• Candidate should possess a strong understanding of telecom network architecture and its components.
• Candidate should be skilled in CAPEX and OPEX calculations to optimize fiber planning.
• The candidate must have in-depth knowledge of GIS network applications, including Small World, MicroStation, ArcGIS, and the other OLO portals.
• To Prepare the High-Level design document & Low-Level Design document by providing Scope of work, Splicing schematic, civil and cable plan etc to build partner for implementation.
• Should have the knowledge in FTTx, GPON Technology, Fibre Rough planning, cost validation and creation of the capacity release for the connection of enterprise customer locations with primary & secondary connectivity (Stage 2 Enterprise).
• Candidate should have deep knowledge in RFOG ( Radio Frequency over Glass ) and HFCFC ( Hybrid Fibre Co-axial )
• Experience in conducting cost-benefit analyses of projects, including feasibility studies, is also essential.
• Strong communication skills are necessary to effectively engage with stakeholders at both onshore and offshore levels.

Must have Technical / Professional qualifications:

• Any Degree or Equivalent Qualification with hands on experience in Fiber Optic is must.
• Should have knowledge of PNI, Visio, Power point is must.
• Customer focus & business impact awareness.
• Excellent Customer communication and knowledge.
• Good communication skills, written and verbal.
• Language: English (Proficient), German (Proficient)
• Ability to work under pressure

Roles & Responsibilities:

Key accountabilities and decision ownership

• This role is responsible for managing the daily operations of system service engineering and operations within Fibre services.
• Should know about Single leg connectivity for Stage 1b Enterprise (Classic) & Dual leg connectivity requirements for Stage 1b Enterprise (Classic Premium)
• The Candidate Evaluation process involves assessing potential mobile phone station sites to determine their technical and economic feasibility, with a focus on fiber‑optic connectivity. Should have the knowledge in FTTS(Fibre to the street/curb) to cover the Network _FTTS up to 2 locations or more.
• Key responsibilities include Line Planning, designing, and documentation, Fibre assets using GIS tools, Calculation for materials, while seeking appropriate guidance to ensure the delivery of high-quality outcomes.
• The process ensures accurate cost estimation through structured validation, technical planning, and coordination with Vodafone teams and third‑party service providers.
• You will monitor and ensure the proper completion of network surveying and design activities conducted by the Build Partner.
• Should have knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Visio, Power Point) and Remedy & Amdocs ticket handling system.
• Active participation in both internal and external meetings is essential.
• Additionally, you will address any issues that may impact the project's scope, quality, risk, and timeline.
