Associate – Corporate Acquisition Finance – Corporate and Leveraged Finance (f/m/d)

In the Corporate and Leveraged Finance (CLF) line, the bank originates, structures, and arranges debt financing for corporate and private‑equity clients. CLF also advises on capital‑structure optimisation, rating, and strategic financing matters.
The Corporate Acquisition Finance & Advisory Team delivers syndicated and event‑driven financing solutions to the bank’s large‑cap corporate and private‑equity clients and is a top player in the EMEA syndicated‑loan market. The team ranks consistently in the Top 2 on book‑runner league tables.
Your mission Support senior team members in originating and executing bilateral, syndicated, and event‑driven financings for the bank’s large‑cap corporate and private‑equity clients.
Your key responsibilities - Analyse companies’ business model, capital structure, and financial policy
- Position and benchmark corporates within their peer group and related industries
- Produce comprehensive financing pitch books in liaison with Coverage, DCM, ECM and M&A lines
- Prepare financial models, including cash‑flow analysis and projections
- Draft business‑opportunity memoranda (BOM) for submission to General Management
- Prepare transaction requests (risk analysis, peer analysis, structure, profitability, stress cases) and coordinate the credit process (liaison with RPC, CPM/ALM, Coverage)
- Support coordination, drafting and negotiation of mandate documents and facility agreements
- Assist Loan Syndicate and Sales teams in the syndication process (information memorandum, Q&A management)

Qualifikation
Above‑average successfully completed university degree (Business Administration, Economics, Law or comparable academic degree).
- 3‑4 years of experience within Acquisition Finance, Structured Finance, Corporate Finance, or debt advisory at a corporate or investment bank
- Familiarity with banking and capital‑market products (M&A, ECM, equity and debt capital markets)
- Strong analytical and credit‑analysis skills (incl. financial modelling)
- Team player with good interpersonal skills and ability to work with various product lines in an international setup
- Flexible self‑starter with strong intrinsic motivation, responsiveness and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English – presents ideas clearly, concisely and constructively
- Fluency in German and English, French is a plus
