About the Role

We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated Associate Manager IT & MIS to join our dynamic team (based in Hechingen) in the medical technology industry. Responsibilities

• Provide good knowledge on the IT Infrastructure, application infrastructure, and other related services in accordance with the established technical standards to continuously maintain and improve the infrastructure's reliability and performance whilst achieving a high level of user satisfaction.
• Manage, configure, and maintain the organization's systems, network, servers and security, ensure documentation is available and updated continuously.
• Provides IT infrastructure and Application infrastructure lifecycle technical support, including planning, project management, installation, on-going management / monitoring & troubleshooting whilst following the global IT operational policies & processes.
• Ensure all the core data servers, operating systems, applications and critical production office computers are regularly backed-up according to the backup strategy.
• Responsible for the management and maintenance of backup storage devices, develop contingency plans for disaster recovery, provide technical support for daily backups.
• Implementation and management of IT projects.
• Support with the validation of IT systems.
• Processing of IT service requests, commenting & responding to open incidents including categorization & prioritization as well as escalation to higher support levels.
• Processing of 1st & 2nd level support IT cases.
• Provide accurate, timely, and courteous support to all end users for any hardware and software matters.
• Maintenance of the IT asset management system.
• Management of authorizations.
• Creation and maintenance of IT documentation.

Qualifications

• Acknowledged degree in IT, Computer Science, or closely related discipline or equivalent substantial experience in a commercial environment.

Required Skills

• Advanced knowledge on installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware, virtualization, cabling, switching, VPN, VOIP, router and firewalls.
• Detailed knowledge on LAN, WAN, Internet/Intranet, Cloud (SAS), technologies and architectures.
• Strong hardware & software troubleshooting skills.
• Strong experience in bringing up Global Links between different regions/sites.
• ITIL knowledge to enable better performance and cooperation.
• Exhibit excellent customer service, verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills as well as formal presentation skills.
• Interpersonal skills necessary to train others in computer systems.
• Maintain confidentiality of all data within the company.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work effectively in a team as well as independently.
• Self-motivated, with a willingness and ability to learn quickly.
• English and German language skills are mandatory.
