Associate Relationship Manager

Job Summary

The ARB provides direct sales support to the Senior Banker in originating new business and, in partnership with the Senior Banker, is jointly accountable for client revenues, profitability, risk acceptance, and portfolio performance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide proactive transactional support on new business origination activities, including client research, pitch‑book preparation, and coordination with product and network stakeholders.
  • Conduct client and competitor analysis, produce post‑origination reports, and prepare briefing notes for client meetings.
  • Support the Senior Banker in sales discipline requirements such as account planning, pipeline maintenance, meeting minutes, and deal approval submissions.
  • Manage new transaction execution, document negotiation, and coordination with Product Sales and Client Management teams for deal drawdown, fee booking, and revenue recognition.
  • Oversee portfolio management, ensuring limit utilization and accurate revenue/return reporting at both portfolio and client levels.
  • Coordinate with product partners to drive cross‑sell, pursue returns on risk‑weighted assets, and calculate deal returns and pricing.
  • Ensure all internal stakeholders and client teams are engaged for account planning and strategy communication.
  • Drive confidential management of sensitive deal information and support the Senior Banker with lead‑time logging of client calls and pipeline updates.
  • Assist the Senior Banker in monitoring client performance, industry outlook, and post‑deal execution to meet documentation and compliance requirements.
  • Provide support to Credit Analysts for early alert client classification, periodic credit reviews, and ongoing monitoring during market volatility.
  • Support and develop junior team members.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Economics, Finance or Accounting preferred
  • Ideally 3–5+ years’ experience in banking
  • Risk and AML certification as stipulated by Bank policy
  • Business English and German language proficiency highly appreciated
  • Credit training
