Are you an automation specialist who enjoys problem-solving, travelling, and working directly with clients?

I’m supporting a long-established engineering company that delivers high-end automation and control systems across the maritime and industrial sectors. They are now looking for an Automation Service Engineer to join their growing service and commissioning team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong PLC programming experience who wants a mix of hands‑on technical work, international travel, and direct customer interaction.

The Role

As an Automation Service Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring customers receive best‑in‑class support across complex automation and control systems. Your responsibilities will include:

Carrying out commissioning, inspections, and service assignments on automation systems worldwide
Providing technical support with a strong focus on PLC software functions
Adapting and developing PLC software solutions to meet customer‑specific requirements
Travelling internationally for on‑site service, troubleshooting, and system optimisation
Analysing and resolving technical issues and customer complaints with accuracy and professionalism
Working in high pressure, time critical environments

About You

2 years of experience in automation technology (PLC programming essential)
Maritime exposure ideal, such as onboard engineering or working with marine automation systems
A structured, independent, and solution‑driven approach
Strong communication skills in German and English (B2 minimum) (essential)
Willingness to travel internationally as part of your role (essential)
