Azure Data Engineer - Microsoft Fabric Implementation

We’re hiring a Senior Azure Data Engineer to support a strategic Microsoft Fabric transformation. This is a remote role working for a cutting edge fintech organisation in Europe, and applicants must be EU based to be considered. We are looking for seasoned freelancer/independent consultant to join the team on a full-time basis. The Opportunity: We are currently seeking a Senior Cloud Data Engineer with Azure with DevOps skills, that will develop, maintain, and optimize data pipelines and storage solutions within Microsoft Fabric. This role will be responsible for ensuring the scalability, reliability, and security of data processing frameworks while supporting legacy systems and modern cloud-based architectures. The Experience You Need: To be successful in this role, you will have proven experience as a Data Engineer with a strong foundation in cloud-based data platforms and DevOps practices. We’re looking for professionals with: 4+ years of experience in data engineeringExpertise in Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, OneLake, and Delta LakeHands-on experience with SQL, Python, Spark, and data transformation frameworksProven track record building ETL/ELT workflows using Azure Data Factory and Fabric Data PipelinesFamiliarity with Microsoft Purview, DBT, and Terraform (nice to have)DevOps skills including CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and Git-based version controlStrong understanding of data warehousing, performance tuning, and partitioning strategiesAbility to troubleshoot and optimise complex data pipelinesExperience supporting legacy databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and integrating them with modern solutions Next steps: Please apply immediately if this sounds like the next role for you.
