Back End Engineer - Core Payment

We're Hiring: Back-End Engineer – Core Payments (Mid to Senior Level) | Remote

Are you a seasoned Go developer passionate about fintech and ready to own infrastructure that moves real money across borders? Sigillum Fides Technology is looking for an experienced Back-End Engineer to join our growing Core Payments team.

We're an AI-driven software company revolutionizing financial operations across the Asia-Pacific region — bridging traditional finance with next-generation digital payment platforms.

What You'll Own

You’ll be a key driver in designing and maintaining the backbone of our payment infrastructure — ledger systems, dynamic transaction routing, and real-time payment processing at scale. You’ll be expected to lead technically, make architectural decisions, and mentor where needed.

• Design and develop scalable back-end services in Golang
• Build and optimize data models and queries in PostgreSQL
• Architect and maintain ledger accounting logic (double-entry, reconciliation, balance tracking)
• Lead development of dynamic routing logic for multi-gateway payment flows
• Collaborate with front-end and product teams to deliver end-to-end payment features
• Integrate and maintain payment APIs (PSPs, acquirers, wallets)
• Drive code quality through reviews, standards, and best practices

What We’re Looking For

Must-Have:

• 3–7+ years of back-end development experience
• Deep hands-on expertise in Golang — you write production-grade, idiomatic Go
• Strong command of PostgreSQL — schema design, complex queries, indexing, transactions
• Proven experience with REST API design and microservices architecture
• Track record of delivering in a fully remote, async environment
• Comfortable working with high-risk and regulated industries — our clients operate in gaming, online casino, cryptocurrency, and forex sectors. No judgment, full professionalism required.

Nice to Have:

• Hands-on experience with ledger systems or financial accounting logic
• Deep familiarity with payment gateways, acquiring banks, or PSP integrations
• Experience designing transaction routing, failover logic, or multi-currency flows
• Experience with message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ) or event-driven architecture
• Background in high-risk merchant processing or compliance-aware payment flows
• APAC fintech or banking domain knowledge

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
