Meet5 is the most popular leisure app for the generation 40+ in Germany. The core of our app is to meet new people at different group meetings. Started in 2017, we have grown to 70+ employees. You'll be working on exciting new development projects with our product developers for our 3 million+ users . We are in a very exciting phase right now and have ambitious growth goals for many more countries, including the US.

Tasks

• Expose new endpoints to client side, structuring of new data types, minimisation of data scraping vulnerabilities
• Develop strategies for data storage that enable scalable retrieval and processing
• Automate some manual processes for our community
• Designing loosely coupled modules in backend for high efficiency and increased scalability

Requirements

Required:

• Proven experience as a backend developer, showcasing your expertise in crafting high-quality, efficient, and reliable solutions
• Proficiency in Java 11+ is a must, and you should have a strong understanding of Kotlin, Springboot, Spring, Java Servlets, and MySQL
• Knowledge of data structures and algorithms is highly beneficial and will contribute to creating optimized and performant solutions
• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Github is essential, as seamless integration with our existing tech stack is a fundamental requirement for the role

Preferred (in addition to the required qualifications, the following skills and experience will be considered advantageous):

• Hands-on experience with Google App Engine, Google BigQuery, Google Datastore, or other NoSQL databases. Your expertise in these technologies will significantly enhance our ability to handle diverse data requirements and ensure scalability as our platform grows
• Bonus points for candidates who have previously worked on scalable B2C software

• Web Frontend: Google Cloud, Angular, Bootstrap, Typescript, NodeJS
• iOS: Xcode, Objective-C, Swift, SwiftUI, Swift Package Manager (SPM)
• Android: Android Studio, Java, Kotlin, Gradle.
• Backend: IntelliJ, Java, Kotlin, Servlets, Google Cloud App Engine**,** CloudRun, Terraform, REST, Json, 50 million requests a day
• Core Database: Google Cloud SQL, 250 million queries per day, 2 billion datasets.
