Backend Engineer (Mid-Level) – Real-Time AI Systems

Location: Europe (Remote or Hybrid)

We are developing real-time AI applications running on GPU infrastructure and integrating modern AI APIs. Our backend is built with FastAPI and includes real-time communication components.

We are looking for a backend engineer with strong fundamentals who wants to grow into real-time and AI infrastructure systems.

Your Responsibilities

• Extend and maintain our FastAPI backend
• Support real-time communication and streaming components
• Assist with AI model deployment and performance optimization
• Improve testing, reliability and monitoring
• Collaborate closely on backend and infrastructure improvements

Your Profile

• 3+ years of backend development experience
• Strong Python knowledge
• Experience building REST APIs
• Good understanding of asynchronous programming
• Familiarity with Docker and cloud deployments
• Structured working style and strong problem-solving skills

Nice to Have

• Exposure to WebRTC or other streaming technologies
• Experience working with AI/ML projects
• Interest in performance optimization and distributed systems
