At Brammibal's Donuts we are looking for Assistant Shop Managers (gn) to join our Shop Management team at our new airport location. As Assistant Shop Manager will assist the Shop Manager with the day-to-day running of your store, keep a close eye on the financial performance, motivate and train your team to perform at a high level every day and most importantly lead by example. As part of our FOH management team you are the face of Brammibal's Donuts. Serving our customers with a big smile, helping them with your donut‑expertise and brewing the most delicious cup of coffee is the most important part of your job. We are a growing company, so the goal of this position is to take on a shop of your own in the future. We will support you on this journey by providing you with the training and tools you need for the job.

Working at Berlin-Brandenburg Airport (BER)

This role is based at Berlin-Brandenburg Airport (BER), one of Europe’s most important transport hubs, where you’ll delight travellers with donuts and specialty coffee in a dynamic, busy, international workplace. Our airport store operates from early mornings through late evenings, including weekends and public holidays – flexibility with shift work is essential. Opening shifts start as early as 4:00am and closing shifts last until 22:00pm. There’s no classic 9-to-5 here, but in return you’ll experience real variety: flight schedules, rush hours and an international crowd ensure that no two days are the same. Managing a new store in such a high profile environment comes with specific responsibilities and challenges. Apart from being familiar with our internal processes at Brammibal's, you will also be the expert on the ground regarding all airport processes and protocols and will be able to guide your team through it all. In this busy environment you will need to stay on top of all orders, train your team, deliver excellent customer service and keep contact with airport personnel and management. For working at the airport, all team members need to apply for an airport ID badge (Flughafenausweis) and a security clearance according to §7 LuftSiG, which will take several weeks to months. Don’t worry – we fully support you throughout the entire process and guide you step by step. Our airport store will open this summer and we can’t wait to make it a success!

Travel to the airport

• From Berlin Südkreuz to BER: it takes about 14 minutes on the Airport Express or regional trains, super quick!
• From Berlin Ostkreuz to BER: you can reach the airport in roughly 19–20 minutes on direct regional train services.

Your tasks

• Your daily drive is working regular floor shifts with your team leading by example (making coffee, customer service, cleaning).
• Assisting the Shop Manager in the running of your dedicated shop in the following areas:
  • Planning and ordering of donut quantities.
  • Keeping track of the inventory of your entire store.
  • Shift planning.
  • Training and onboarding new team members.
  • Providing feedback and training to the existing team.
  • Enforcing work safety and hygiene rules.
• You participate in regular meetings with your fellow (Assistant) Shop Managers.

About you

• Previous experience in a supervisor position
• Experience in the restaurant / hospitality / tourism industry
• You love customer service and go out of your way to make each customer feel special
• A love for donuts‑knowing our product is key.
• Experience with Specialty Coffee or Barista skills would be a plus
• Ability to speak English (some German would be a plus)
• Rote Karte Gesundheitsbelehrung (Instruction on food personnel hygiene at the health office – you can still easily get this when you know you start with us)
• You are trustworthy, reliable and punctual
• You love to work with people
• You are a true problem‑solver with a hands‑on mentality

• Full‑time position with 37.5 hours per week; part‑time (30 hours) also possible
