As the Chief Operations Officer (COO) in the food industry, you will hold full responsibility for end-to-end processes, ensuring sustainable delivery capabilities, quality, efficiency, and stability in operational value creation. You will lead and further develop the operations areas of production, supply chain, technology, transformation, and optimization, creating clear structures, responsibilities, and processes. You will manage business operations with key performance indicators and budgets, identifying deviations early and initiating prioritized, effective measures to achieve targets. You will drive strategic change and improvement initiatives within operations, embedding lean and systems thinking in processes, structures, and leadership. The ideal candidate will have a completed education in a technical field such as engineering, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, or production technology, or an equivalent qualification. You should have proven leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally within the food or consumer goods sector, and experience in operations, production, and/or supply chain with the ability to manage complex end-to-end value creation processes. A strong understanding of production, planning, logistics processes, and project management is essential, along with practical experience in implementing lean methods. Knowledge of SAP (preferably S/4Hana) and experience in driving and facilitating change processes with a focus on building on existing structures and leading changes effectively is required.
