Bilanzbuchhalter / General Ledger Accountant

Responsibilities

• Establish, maintain, and continuously optimize manufacturing cost accounting and financial accounting processes in compliance with HGB
• Review and approve expense reimbursements, invoices, asset acquisitions, and payment transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Lead monthly and annual closing activities in SAP, and prepare statutory financial statements under German GAAP
• Provide accounting guidance to business departments on HGB application and identify potential compliance risks
• Support tax-related topics, including daily tax consultation and interpretation of tax policies
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors for statutory audits and tax filings
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth financial operations

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Accounting, Finance, or related fields
• Professional qualification such as Bilanzbuchhalter is highly preferred
• Solid experience in financial accounting within a manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of German GAAP (HGB) and statutory financial requirements
• Hands‑on experience with SAP (FI/CO) and closing processes
• Good understanding of cost accounting and financial control
• Fluent German and English required; Chinese proficiency will be an advantage
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a high sense of responsibility
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders
