Job Description

Persian Horizon is hiring a Business Analyst to support our business acquisition and investment platform .

This role focuses on financial analysis, risk assessment, and commercial logic . Your work determines whether a business opportunity is approved for investor presentation or declined .

This is not a sales or client-facing role. It is a decision-making role based on data and structured analysis.

Role Overview

You sit at a critical point in the deal pipeline, reviewing qualified business opportunities and evaluating their financial strength, risk profile, and investment logic.

Your analysis directly influences which businesses move forward to investors.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze SME businesses across multiple sectors, focusing on:
Revenue, profit, and margin structure
Cost and cash-flow logic
ROI and payback expectations
Conduct structured risk assessments , including:
Business model sustainability
Operational and owner dependency
Financial transparency and data quality
Review market positioning and competitive context
Perform pricing and valuation sanity checks
Approve or reject businesses based on defined investment criteria
Prepare clear, structured analysis summaries for internal teams

Requirements

Background in finance, consulting, business analysis, or investment analysis
Strong proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets
Experience working with SMEs, acquisitions, or investment evaluations
Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
Ability to work with imperfect data and still form logical conclusions
Fluent English (Arabic is a plus)
