Business Development Manager - Power Electronics (m/f/d)

We are looking for a Business Development Manager - Power Electronics to define and develop future markets and customer segments for Alpitronic’s power electronics solutions, building a qualified opportunity pipeline and shaping the go‑to‑market approach for the Nürnberg Power Electronics Innovation Lab. It translates market and customer insights into concrete product requirements and portfolio decisions and, over time, assumes direct sales and key account responsibility for selected customers and segments.

Your Responsibilities

  • Analyse and segment existing and emerging markets (applications, regions and customer types) to derive attractive target fields and growth hypotheses for the Innovation Lab
  • Identify, approach and qualify new leads and partners in prioritised segments, converting insights from pilots, demonstrations and partnerships into scalable business opportunities
  • Develop value propositions, including USPs, pricing logic and business models, for new applications and solution offerings, working closely with product management, engineering and finance
  • Act as the commercial "voice of the customer" in product definition, challenging and steering product design decisions with clear business rationale (e.g. target segments, willingness to pay, competitive positioning)
  • Co‑lead the definition of the product concept (based on target cost and price) and the product roadmap for the Innovation Lab, ensuring alignment between technical feasibility, market timing and commercial potential
  • Validate product concepts with key customers and partners through early engagement, piloting, and feedback loops, feeding the results back into the design and roadmap
  • Build and maintain a structured opportunity and account pipeline (e.g. in CRM) including volumes, probabilities and expected revenues
  • Support and increasingly lead commercial negotiations (offers, pricing and framework agreements) as opportunities progress from the exploratory stage to repetitive business

Your Qualifications & Skills

  • Degree in engineering, industrial or electronics engineering or a comparable field; a combination of technical and business background is preferred
  • Several years of experience in business development, technical sales, key account management or strategic partnerships in an industrial or high‑tech environment, ideally in power (supply) electronics or related fields
  • Strong understanding of technology‑driven innovation processes and ability to translate technical features into customer value and commercial arguments
  • Proven track record in building and managing long‑term B2B relationships, including lead generation, opportunity qualification and negotiation of collaboration and supply agreements
  • High degree of ownership, reliability, and professionalism in representing the Innovation Lab and Alpitronic towards customers and partners
  • Excellent communication, networking and presentation skills, with confidence to engage both technical experts and senior decision‑makers at customers
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, German and/or Italian as a plus
