The Business Development Manager South (m/f/d) is responsible for establishing professional relationships with key customer accounts and achieving assigned targets for profitable sales volume and margins. This position is part of the EMEA sales team and will be based remotely in Germany. Customers in the southern part of Germany and some key accounts in specific markets will be assigned to this position. Therefore, a willingness to travel is mandatory for this position.

Location: remote in Germany; travel required.

Responsibilities

• Developing innovative business strategies that secure market share and competitive advantages while creating new value for our food and beverage customers – both for existing and new partnerships
• Design and implement an effective A/B customer plan to meet sales forecasts. Build and maintain long-term, productive relationships with senior managers and decision-makers on the customer side.
• Proactively expand the customer base through networking, lead follow-up, and sales. Promote sales of new products and applications.
• Close cooperation with sales management as well as the customer service, application engineering and technical support departments to ensure the successful sale of products and plant technology

Essential qualifications

• Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree – preferably in food science, food technology or other related fields such as engineering or biopharma
• Proven experience in an engineering environment with food-related applications, complemented by a solid affinity for sales
• Extensive experience in strategic sales and excellent skills in understanding customer needs and buying behavior
• Supporting customers in the development of innovative applications in the field of filtration
• Very good knowledge of German and English
