How You’ll Make an Impact At Personio

As the initial point of contact for our most strategic prospect accounts, you will play a pivotal role in driving Personio’s growth within our largest customer segment in Austria. Leveraging thorough account and industry research, you will develop and deliver tailored messaging that resonates with key stakeholders across different regions and sectors. Your industry expertise will inspire and engage decision makers at Austria’s leading companies—opening doors, identifying opportunities, and initiating high‑impact HR transformation projects that set the foundation for long‑term partnerships.

The work you’ll do:

  • Prospect into strategic mid‑market accounts via cold call, email and social selling strategies, to achieve a monthly quota of qualified opportunities and pipeline value
  • Handle typical outbound sales objections, to remove obstacles from the selling landscape and ensure that opportunities progress
  • Qualify potential value drivers and solution fit by engaging with key decision makers to discover pains and company goals
  • Generate sales pipeline and develop opportunities for a team of Account Executives
  • Do thorough account and industry research, to maintain and organize an annual book of business
  • Be a subject matter expert on state‑of‑the‑art HR technology and processes
  • Develop and execute creative multi‑threading strategies for targeting different decision‑makers at prospect accounts

What We’re Looking For

  • +1 year of outbound sales experience in B2B SaaS, tech or cloud solution sales, covering Austrian companies is a strong plus
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) is required
  • Languages required: fluency in German & English
  • You are competitive, resilient, and highly driven – you thrive in a fast‑paced sales environment
  • Proactivity, strong communication & problem‑solving skills – comfortable handling objections and driving conversations
  • Experience in Salesforce is a plus
  • Strong business acumen is a plus – being able to speak the language of C‑level executives

At Personio, we value in‑person collaboration while also offering flexibility. This role is office‑based, with 3 days per week required in your contracted office location. The remaining days can be worked from home or in the office if you prefer. You’ll also have 20 Flex Days per year to work remotely from other locations.
