This role requires 3 days per week in the office and is based in Munich.

As the initial point of contact for our most strategic prospect accounts, you will play a pivotal role in driving Personio’s growth within our core customer segment. Leveraging thorough account and industry research, you will develop and deliver tailored messaging that resonates with key stakeholders across different regions and sectors. Your industry expertise will inspire and engage decision makers at Germany’s leading Mittelstand companies—opening doors, identifying opportunities, and initiating high‑impact HR transformation projects that set the foundation for long‑term partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Prospect into your target accounts via cold call, email and social selling strategies, to achieve a monthly quota of qualified cases and pipeline value.
• Handling typical outbound sales objections, to remove obstacles from the selling landscape and ensure that opportunities progress.
• Qualifying potential value drivers and solution fit by engaging with key decision makers to discover pains and company goals.
• Generate sales pipeline and develop opportunities for a team of Account Executives.
• Do account and industry research to develop an annual book of business.
• Be a subject matter expert on state‑of‑the‑art HR technology and processes.

What we're looking for

Must Have

• Strong communication & problem‑solving skills – comfortable reaching out proactively, handling objections and driving value‑driven customer conversations.
• Goal‑oriented, highly‑driven and resilient - you thrive in a fast‑paced sales environment which changes on a frequent basis.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
• Languages required: fluency in German & English.

Nice to Haves

• Outbound sales experience in B2B SaaS, tech or cloud sales is a strong plus.
• Bachelors degree (or equivalent) is not a must but a bonus.
• Strong business acumen is a plus - being able to speak the language of executives.
• Salesforce and/or GONG experience is a plus.

At Personio, we value in‑person collaboration while also offering flexibility. This role is office‑based, with 3 days per week required in your contracted office location. The remaining days can be worked from home or in the office if you prefer. In addition, you’ll have 20 Flex Days per year to work remotely from other locations.
