Business Manager (m/f/d) - Aerospace Defense and Government Business Unit

Business Manager (BM) for the Emerson T&M (Test & Measurement) Aerospace Defense and Government Business Unit (ADG BU) is a highly visible and unique position requiring deep Aerospace & Defense domain knowledge, market trends, and a tight connection within the European Aerospace & Defence ecosystem and partners. The BM owns BU strategy implementation, positions Emerson T&M value, leads cross‑functional teams, and drives business growth.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Increase Account Alignment between BU & Account Teams.
  • Understand the Aerospace & Defence ecosystem, key accounts and related competition in target market segments.
  • Build credit as a critical business advisor for account teams through providing business & technology domain expertise and increasing customer confidence.
  • Build long‑term strategic relationships with key customers and industry experts.
  • Support Account Teams to maximize BU solutions and systems to win strategic deals and scale business.
  • Understand ROI for the engagements (BU, Sales, Support, Services, Partners), manage scope of committed work & represent business needs across Emerson T&M.
  • Integrate Regional Account/Industry feedback to improve current & future BU solutions and direction.

Who You Are:

You deliver messages in a clear, compelling, and concise manner, use customer insights to guide new offering development, and are the first to spot future policies, practices, and trends in the organization, competitors, and the marketplace.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • 10+ years total work experience in Aerospace & Defense industry.
  • Good connection/work experience with Aerospace/Defense ecosystem or supply chain companies.
  • 10+ years total work experience and knowledge of relevant test and measurement industry.
  • Deep knowledge of EMSO (Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations) solutions and / or CNS (Communications, Navigation and Satellite) solutions.
  • 5+ years Sales/Business Development work experience.
  • Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal communication skill with fluency in English.
  • Willing and able to travel within Europe.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

  • Ideal candidate would be located within the UK, France or Germany.
