C# Engineer – Device Technologies (m/f/d) – Life Sciences

On behalf of our partner adesso , we at Iconic Heads are looking for a C# Engineer – Device Technologies (m/f/d) .

adesso is currently building a brand-new Life Sciences Consulting unit – a startup within the company, combining entrepreneurial freedom with the resources of a leading IT provider. This team supports clients in the pharmaceutical industry by developing and integrating device‑related software solutions. Responsibilities

Develop & integrate: Build and adapt C#/.NET applications for device communication, control, and data acquisition in pharma and regulated environments.

Connect systems: Implement drivers and interfaces for lab equipment, production devices, and automation systems (e.g., OPC UA, Modbus, RS232, USB).

Ensure compliance: Deliver software solutions aligned with GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, validation and audit requirements .

Collaborate & consult: Work closely with stakeholders from R&D, QA, and IT to translate technical and compliance requirements into robust solutions.

Shape the unit: Contribute your expertise to establish adesso’s new Life Sciences consulting team.

Strong experience in C#/.NET development , ideally with hardware/device integration.

Knowledge of interfaces & protocols (e.g., OPC UA, Modbus, CAN, USB, RS232) and familiarity with automation or device connectivity.

Experience in regulated environments : understanding of validation, documentation, and compliance requirements.

Consulting skills: ability to engage with clients, gather requirements, and explain technical solutions.

Mandatory requirement: Professional background in the pharmaceutical industry or another highly regulated sector (e.g., MedTech, Banking/Insurance, Automotive Safety, Energy).

Fluent in English (C1) and German (B2).
