C++ Software Engineer (Test & Simulation Systems) – Aerospace

For our long-standing business partner AIRBUS Defence and Space, we are looking for you as a new employee of Tintschl Technik GmbH.

The position holder (f/m/d) works as Software Developer for Test Frameworks Frontend Services.

Your Tasks

• Design and develop software for test and simulation frameworks (TSF) in C++
• Develop graphical user interface (GUI) elements for TSF
• Perform simulation, design, implementation and independent execution of development tests (unit tests) as well as code reviews
• Apply state-of-the-art technologies and techniques
• Contribute actively to virtual engineering (mixed environment of simulations and real hardware)
• Provide 2nd level rig support for test support systems (AIDASS / MaTE) and simulation framework SI²
• Support customers in application development and system testing
• Participate in continuous improvement processes
• Support software teams regarding concepts and technologies

Your Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a comparable qualification
• At least 3 years of experience in IT / information systems
• Strong programming skills in C++ following modern standards
• Foundational knowledge in software design, design patterns, architecture, system programming and cross-platform development
• Basic understanding of version control systems (e.g. Git)
• Basic knowledge of networking, field buses and distributed systems is a plus
• Basic knowledge of agile development methods (Scrum, Kanban) is desirable
• Knowledge of frameworks such as Qt, MFC or Eclipse RCP is an advantage
• Fluent German and English (negotiation level)
