Cable Fabrication Manager (all genders)

Your future tasks:

  • Lead the full engineering and fabrication scope for export and inter‑array cable systems, ensuring alignment with technical specifications, standards, and contract requirements.
  • Manage interfaces between internal engineering teams, external cable suppliers, Contract management, certifiers, and quality assurance throughout design and manufacturing.
  • Oversee design documentation, qualification activities, and FAT/SAT procedures, ensuring technical compliance and readiness for project milestones.
  • Monitor fabrication schedules and supplier performance, driving timely delivery and resolving deviations or risks proactively.
  • Oversee the review and approve key technical documents, manufacturing plans, and QA procedures to ensure robust quality and traceability.
  • Coordinate handover readiness by aligning cable fabrication, transport, and installation teams for smooth, milestone‑based delivery.

Your profile:

  • Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Subsea Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 7–10 years of experience in subsea cable engineering and manufacturing, ideally within offshore wind or subsea power transmission.
  • Proven experience working with international cable suppliers and managing end‑to‑end manufacturing and qualification processes.
  • Strong knowledge of offshore cable design, standards (IEC, CIGRE), testing regimes, and fabrication methods.
  • Hands‑on experience with cable qualification, FAT procedures, QA/QC processes, and certification workflows.
  • Excellent coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills across multi‑disciplinary engineering teams and suppliers.
  • Familiarity with interface management, risk tracking, and design change control.
  • Structured and task‑oriented approach, with the ability to organise and drive complex technical tasks to closure.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are an asset.
  • Willingness to travel to supplier sites, manufacturing facilities, and project locations as needed.
