Tasks

Your main tasks include, among others:

Capacity Steering

• Sets and adjusts the capacity of the flights
• Segments capacity in allocated and non-allocated capacity
• Prepares basic ULD distribution of multi-segment flights
• Defines access rate parameters
• Defines and adjusts overbooking parameters

Additional responsibilities

• Reacts adequately to capacity changes (e.g. equipment or schedule change)
• Requests freighter extra section or re-routings due to current demand
• Evaluates long term contracts and adjusts the allotments if necessary
• Monitors flight event performance throughout the booking period, and subsequently initiates measures to improve flight performance
• Defines and adjusts queue settings and automatic confirmation settings

Flight Optimization

• Performs all necessary checks for queued shipments and confirms or declines based on operational and commercial circumstances
• Finalizes flights, rebooks shipments and transfers them to the local handling organization

General

• Fully supports the quality system and use its tools
• Performs all other duties assigned or delegated by supervisors.

Requirements

The ideal Capacity & Revenue Optimizer should meet the following requirements:

• High school diploma/GED required
• Business, economics, or engineering university degree desirable, preferably with emphasis on marketing/sales, commerce and/or logistics
• 5 years relevant Air cargo experience or equivalent

• Italian fluently and good English language skills
• Good general Air cargo knowledge
• Aircraft dimensions and loadability rules including the loadability check
• Calculation of shipment related data such as: density, stowage loss, revenue metrics
• Good knowledge of the carrier-specific processes and restrictions
• Knowledge of the local market and process structure
• Reading and understanding schedule information
• Good understanding of Air Cargo revenue management fundamentals and underlying principles including multi-segment shipment acceptance, consideration of cost
• Knowledge of revenue management systems, pricing, and volumetric calculation
• Computer skills: MS office, Excel, Word & PowerPoint
• Must possess a legal work permit in Italy.
