Job Purpose: As a
Career Counsellor
at our Munich campus, you will be the bridge between academic life and professional success. Your mission is to empower students to navigate the complexities of the global job market. You will act as a coach, a strategist, and a networking powerhouse, helping students identify their strengths while building the corporate partnerships that will launch their international careers.
Key Responsibilities
1. Student Coaching & Professional Development Personalized Counselling:
Provide one-on-one guidance to help students identify career goals, strengths, and professional interests. The "Perfect Pitch":
Review and refine resumes and cover letters, tailoring them for specific international markets. Interview Mastery:
Conduct mock interviews and workshops to equip students with the confidence and techniques needed for high-stakes recruitment. Skill Workshops:
Design and execute a comprehensive annual workshop series covering Personal Branding, LinkedIn Optimization, Networking, and emerging Job Market Trends.
Proactively build and maintain relationships with international employers to facilitate campus recruitment. Strategic Networking:
Execute
cold calls
to new companies to expand our partnership ecosystem and organize on-campus career fairs and networking events. Internship & Co-op Placement:
Connect students with opportunities within EU Business School’s partner network.
3. Career Operations & Resource Management Digital Ecosystem Management:
Maintain and update career resource databases, specifically utilizing
LinkedIn
and
JobTeaser . Support Services:
Manage the Careers LinkedIn group and curate high-impact weekly newsletters. Legal & Immigration Orientation:
Provide essential guidance on job-seeker visas, work permits, and international immigration regulations to ensure students are compliant and informed. Alumni & Event Support:
Collaborate with the Alumni department and assist the Event Officer/Assistant Manager with the logistics of major campus events.
Who You Are: Experienced:
You bring 1+ years of experience in recruitment, executive search, career coaching, or HR management. Educated:
You hold a university degree, ideally with a focus on Business Psychology or Human Resources. Tech-Savvy:
You are proficient in MS Office and have a strong command of Social Media for professional branding (LinkedIn). Market-Aware:
You possess a deep understanding of the German/Munich job market and stay updated on global business developments. Linguistic Skills:
You are fluent in
English
(campus language).
German level B1
or higher is highly welcomed.
