About the Role

Join a global e-commerce powerhouse entering a new phase of accelerated European growth. As Category Director (Non-Food), you will own the commercial strategy, P&L performance, and long-term growth of a high-value category portfolio.

Based in Berlin, you’ll shape the category strategy, build supplier ecosystems, and deliver outstanding customer value through product innovation, pricing excellence, and market differentiation.

This is a senior strategic role with significant scope to influence business direction and drive commercial performance across Europe.

Key Responsibilities

• Full P&L ownership for the FMCG non-food category, delivering revenue, margin, and market share growth
• Develop and execute multi-year category strategies aligned to business goals
• Lead and develop a high-performing commercial team with a focus on accountability and innovation
• Build and manage senior-level supplier partnerships, ensuring competitive advantage and supply security
• Use market insights and analytics to identify growth opportunities and optimise pricing and range
• Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, operations, finance, and digital to ensure seamless execution
• Represent the category at executive level, contributing to strategic planning and forecasting

What We’re Looking For

• Proven track record in category management, buying, or commercial leadership within FMCG (non-food preferred)
• Demonstrated P&L responsibility and ability to deliver strong commercial results
• Strategic thinker with excellent analytical and decision-making skills
• Strong leadership and team development experience
• Exceptional negotiation and stakeholder management skills at senior level
• Experience in digital or omni-channel retail environments is an advantage
• Fluent in English; German language skills highly desirable
