Chemical Manufacturing Lab Quality Control Lead Technician

Step into a role where you guide one of our Quality Control labs and keep product quality at its highest standard. You oversee testing, compliance, and daily lab operations, while helping your team grow and succeed.

What you’ll do

• Lead and manage your QC lab team, providing both technical direction and people leadership

• Train, coach, and support team members to strengthen performance

• Approve and oversee testing of raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods

• Make sure all work follows internal requirements, ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and legal regulations

• Collaborate with Production and Supply Chain to align testing priorities

• Maintain, validate, and calibrate lab methods and equipment

• Manage retention samples and document instrument use and maintenance

• Analyze development samples and compare results for application relevance

• Troubleshoot equipment issues, including coordination with external service providers

• Perform and interpret statistical analyses such as SQC and Gage R&R

• Improve testing methods and processes, including automation and accuracy upgrades

• Develop new analytical methods such as GC and HPLC

What you bring

• Qualification as a Chemical Technician (or equivalent) with years of hands‑on QC/analytics experience, especially GC

• Leadership experience with the ability to motivate and manage teams

• Knowledge of lab safety regulations and safe chemical handling

• Strong sense of responsibility, organization, and process discipline

• Background in method development and validation

• Proficiency in SAP, LIMS, and Microsoft 365

• Fluency in German and good English skills

Preferred extras

• Experience in IATF 16949 environments

• Lean, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement certification

• Advanced knowledge of LIMS process improvements
