Clinical data scientist

Location: Munich, Germany (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)

About the Role

We are seeking a Clinical Data Scientist to join our growing oncology-focused biotech team in Munich. This is a hands-on, hybrid role sitting at the intersection of clinical data management, statistical analysis, and scientific interpretation .

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys going beyond “clean data” — someone who wants to interrogate clinical and biomarker datasets , understand what the data is really saying, and work closely with clinical and translational colleagues to inform development decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform analysis, review, and interpretation of clinical trial data , with a strong focus on oncology studies
• Work hands-on with SAS programming for data manipulation, analysis datasets, and outputs
• Support clinical data review activities , including ongoing data checks, listings, and trend identification
• Analyze and interpret biomarker and translational data , collaborating with clinical and scientific teams
• Contribute to data-driven insights for clinical development decisions, study readouts, and internal discussions
• Support preparation of analysis outputs , summaries, and visualizations for internal stakeholders
• Collaborate closely with clinical operations, data management, biostatistics, and translational science teams
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and interpretability across clinical datasets
• Participate in cross-functional discussions to help shape study strategy and data interpretation

Required Experience & Skills

• Strong experience working with clinical trial data , ideally within oncology
• Hands-on expertise in SAS programming (analysis, data handling, and review)
• Solid understanding of clinical data structures, standards, and workflows
• Experience working with or analyzing biomarker / translational datasets
• Ability to move beyond technical execution into data interpretation and scientific insight
• Comfortable working in a small biotech environment with broad responsibilities
• Background spanning both data management and data analysis in the life science industry
