Position Overview:

This is a vacancy for a hybrid/on-site role at our HQ in Tutzing. We encourage applications fromvergleich all qualified candidates, regardless of gender identity. As we expand, we are seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer (m/f/x) to join our Cloud Engineering team, where your work will bridge customer environments with the Lobster Data Platform Cloud infrastructure, establishing secure and efficient connections. In this role, you will manage customer systems and software as they transition into a cloud environment, working with platforms such as AWS or, for some customers, continuing to support on‑premises setups. You’ll get to take ownership of:

Develop and maintain runbook automation to reduce manual operational overhead and improve response times for common tasks.
Build and enhance cloud orchestration workflows using the Cloud Management Platform to enable self‑service capabilities for other teams.
Work with AWS utilising tools like Terraform to deploy and configure customer applications and services.
Assist other teams in building automation solutions, providing guidance on best practices and reusable patterns.
Design and implement infrastructure‑as‑code solutions that promote consistency, repeatability, and version control across environments.
Monitor and optimise cloud रही resource utilisation, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and performance improvements.
Collaborate with the team to continuously improve infrastructure reliability, scalability, and security standards.
Create documentation and knowledge base articles for automation workflows and cloud platform capabilities to support team scaling.

What will you learn during your apprenticeship?:

We’d love to meet someone with:

Professional background in the field of computer science, with experience working in Cloud Engineering, Cloud Administration or a related field
Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, particularly AWS, ideally with hands‑on experience using IaC Tools
In-depth understanding of operating systems such as Linux, and strong general IT infrastructure skills
Python coding skills, with the ability to write scripts for automation and systems management
You communicate fluently in German (within the team and with the customers), and having a conversational level of English is welcomed.
Experience with Terraform, ideally in multi‑account environments.
