Cloud Engineer / Cloud Architect (Intermediate - Senior)

What this role involves

Designing and implementing scalable cloud architectures on AWS, Azure or GCP, building and maintaining cloud infrastructure with Infrastructure-as-Code, ensuring high availability, security and performance of SaaS platforms, and optimising cloud costs. You'll work closely with DevOps and development teams on a modern, high-impact platform.

What the role is looking for

• 5+ years in cloud engineering or cloud architecture.
• Strong hands-on AWS, Azure or GCP experience, a track record of designing production‑grade systems, and solid understanding of networking, security and scalability.
• Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform or similar) is essential.
• BSc in Computer Science / IT or equivalent.
• Afrikaans is a nice‑to‑have for the Netherlands market.

Bonus points for

• Microservices architecture experience.
• SaaS or product environment background.
• Security and compliance knowledge.
• Cost optimisation expertise.
• Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect.
