Cloud Platform Engineer – AI & Simulation (m/f/d)

We are currently looking for a Cloud Platform Engineer to join Tintschl in an exciting project with Airbus Defence & Space , working at the intersection of cloud technologies, AI, and simulation in a highly secure and innovative environment.

• Design, build, and operate Kubernetes clusters (e.g. Ubuntu, MicroK8s), ensuring high availability, scalability, and stability
• Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitLab) following GitOps principles
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Ansible, and Helm
• Set up and maintain monitoring & logging systems (Prometheus, Grafana, etc.)
• Integrate security and compliance into the development lifecycle (DevSecOps, Zero Trust, IAM, Vault)
• Support AI and simulation workloads using cloud-native and MLOps approaches
• Collaborate closely with international development, security, and product teams

Optional (depending on experience):

• Coordinate simulation-based research projects
• Manage work packages (scope, time, cost, quality)
• Interface with industry and research partners
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (ideally with focus on AI or simulation)
• Strong experience in IT / cloud environments (4+ years)
• Python programming
• Container technologies (Docker)
• Experience with CI/CD and GitOps tools (e.g. GitLab, Jenkins)
• Knowledge of monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana) and IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible) is a plus
• Familiarity with security tools (Vault, IAM, Keycloak) is an advantage
• Understanding of cloud-native architectures, microservices, and MLOps
• German: fluent (mandatory)
• English: professional working proficiency
