Responsibilities

• Research trends in color and material (CMF) design, gain insights into international CMF development, and monitor the application of new technologies and materials in automotive design to ensure the forward-looking nature of design concepts.
• Be responsible for color and texture design and development for interior and exterior of concept vehicles and mass-production vehicles, including feasibility studies, and present design proposals through renderings and physical samples.
• Communicate and collaborate with headquarters design teams and engineering teams to complete comprehensive CMF definition deliverables and follow up on the implementation of design concepts.
• Coordinate and resolve various technical issues encountered during the development of vehicle color and material solutions.
• Lead and participate in technical communication with suppliers related to color and materials, jointly driving the development of forward-looking textures, materials, new materials and new processes, and their transformation and application in the automotive industry.
• Participate in knowledge management and knowledge engineering activities, including the preparation of CMF design summaries, guidelines, and other knowledge system documentation.
• Perform all duties in accordance with company policies, processes, systems, and procedures, and complete ad-hoc tasks and support assignments as required by the company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Industrial Design, Color Design, Fashion Design, or related disciplines; requirements may be relaxed for candidates with exceptional capabilities.
• 2–6 years of relevant experience in automotive color and material (CMF) or texture design.
• Proficiency in English is required; German, Chinese, or other languages are a plus.
