Location: Munich, Germany (Candidates must be based in Munich or open to relocating to Munich from within Germany)

Position Summary

We are looking for a detail‑oriented and analytical Finance Analyst to support our European Commercial Finance team. Based in Munich, this role provides essential financial analysis, pricing support, and performance tracking to enable data‑driven commercial decisions. The ideal candidate is hands‑on, comfortable working with complex datasets, and eager to partner with cross‑functional teams to deliver accurate, timely financial insights.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial Finance Support

• Provide day‑to‑day financial analysis to Sales, Marketing, Trade, and Strategy teams.
• Prepare reports, dashboards, and financial summaries to support commercial decision‑making.
• Assist in evaluating ROI, promotional performance, and customer/channel profitability.
• Support business cases for new product launches and route‑to‑market initiatives.

Pricing & Margin Analysis

• Conduct pricing calculations, margin simulations, and scenario modelling.
• Support the preparation of pricing proposals and quarterly pricing submissions.
• Maintain pricing databases and ensure data accuracy across markets.
• Monitor competitor pricing and support price/mix impact analysis.

Investment & Performance Tracking

• Support financial evaluations for NPI projects and other commercial initiatives.
• Assist in monitoring trade and marketing budgets, ensuring spend is aligned with plans.

Planning, Forecasting & Reporting

• Support budgeting and forecasting cycles for pricing, trade investments, and marketing spend.
• Prepare variance analyses comparing actuals vs. forecast and highlight risks/opportunities.
• Assist in preparing inputs for NTO/GM planning processes.

Compliance & Governance

• Ensure adherence to financial processes, internal controls, and governance standards.
• Support audit requests related to pricing, trade incentives, and gross margin reporting.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration.
• 2–4 years of experience in Commercial Finance, FP&A, or a similar analytical role.
• Experience in FMCG or tobacco is an advantage but not required.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with financial modelling.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., D365, Oracle) and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau).
• Comfortable working with large datasets and performing scenario analysis.
• Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail.
• Clear communicator able to translate data into actionable insights.
• Proactive, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Business fluency in English; German is a plus.
