Commissioning Technologist - Hot Rolling (f/m/d)

Responsibilities

• Technological commissioning and process set‑up of hot rolling mills for steel and aluminium like conventional hot‑strip‑mills, heavy plate mills, Steckel‑mills, CSP®‑hot‑strip‑mills, aluminium hot strip mills and aluminium plate mills, etc.
• Optimizing process parameters to secure the product quality and production capacity targets
• Analyzing operating data with focus on mechanical systems, automation equipment and processes
• Drawing up optimization measures and initiating relevant measures in the commissioning team
• Conducting and documenting the acceptance tests
• Independently carrying out service assignments for repairs and maintenance
• Feeding the main operating results back into the company
• Training our customers

Qualifications

• Experience in the practical operation of hot flat rolling mills in steel or aluminum industry
• Knowledge and experience of mechatronic systems
• Knowledge for evaluating plant data
• Work proficient English skills
• An independent and target‑oriented approach to work
• Teamworking skills, openness, strong ability to perform under stress
• A willingness to travel on business for long periods of time
• Willingness to relocate is not required - if possible, you will be deployed close to your place of residence
