Compliance Officer / Legal Advisor - Group Sanctions (f/m/d)

Your career at Deutsche Börse Group Your area of work: As an experienced legal professional in the field of international sanctions, you will play a key role within the Compliance function of Deutsche Börse Group (DBG). You will work closely with business units and control functions to ensure adherence to national and international sanctions regulations. Acting as a legal expert, you will provide guidance on complex sanctions-related matters, contribute to the development of Group-wide policies, and support the implementation of effective compliance frameworks to mitigate legal and reputational risks. Your responsibilities: Legal analysis and interpretation of sanction regimes (e.g. EU regulations, US Executive Orders) and their impact on DBG´s legal entitiesSupporting the development and implementation of Group wide sanctions policies and proceduresAdvising business units across DBG on (legal) risks associated with financial sanctionsProviding legal opinions on sanctions-related issuesPerform monitoring and sanctions alert handling activities to identify and prevent misconduct with sanctions and embargoesProvide training for dedicated target groups on specific sanctions topics Your profile: Fully qualified lawyer with excellent academic credentialsIn depth knowledge of international sanctions regimes and their legal implementationMinimum of 4 years of professional experience in the financial industry, law firm or similar compliance functionSolid understanding of financial market infrastructure and financial productsStrong analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex legal matters clearly and effectivelyHigh level of initiative, integrity and accountabilityStrong interpersonal and communication skillsVery good knowledge of German and English, both written and spokenCollaborative mindset
