Senior CNC Manufacturing Engineer / Programmer

This isn’t a standard CNC role.

You’ll be joining a small, high-calibre team building a next-generation manufacturing facility focused on aerospace, defence, and high-spec components. You will also have a say in what CNC MACHINES GET BOUGHT!

You won’t just run jobs - you’ll own the full process .

What you’ll be doing

• Programming, setting and running 3-axis / 5-axis / mill-turn CNC machines
• Taking parts from feasibility, prove-out, production
• Driving cycle time reduction and process optimisation
• Designing fixtures, tooling strategies and workholding
• Working to tight tolerances (±0.01mm and below)
• Leading NPI and continuous improvement activities
• Acting as the technical link between shop floor, engineering and customers
• Helping shape how the factory runs - from processes to systems to layout

What you’ll bring

• Strong hands-on CNC experience (programming + setting + running)
• Confidence with CAM (Fusion 360, Hypermill, Mastercam or similar)
• Experience in aerospace, defence or other high-spec environments
• Solid understanding of machining strategy, tooling, feeds & speeds
• Ability to read complex drawings + GD&T
• Someone who takes pride in first-time-right manufacturing
• 5-axis simultaneous experience
• Exposure to automation, probing, or pallet systems
• Knowledge of AS9100 / EN9100
• Experience with FMEA / Six Sigma / digital manufacturing systems
