Your Role

Key responsibilities in your new role

• Design and development of derivative products (existing TVS ESD designs with adaptations until product qualification and product ramp; TRL3 – TRL7+)
• Ownership of physical and design implementation in the development cycle (from concept adaptation and layout variation, evaluation and variant sparing, until product qualification and production ramp)
• Close collaboration with cross-functional teams (fellow team members in the concept group, project managers, and peers in our technology development team)
• Translating customer and product requirements into actual product implementation (considering available technologies and timelines)
• Design and characterization of device variants, test structures (Evaluation and optimization of technologies and devices)

Your Profile

Qualifications And Skills To Help You Succeed

As a Concept Engineer Product Development TVS, you focus your efforts on finding solutions that offer added value for both sides. Furthermore, you are ready to accept risks and take the necessary measures where required. Lastly, you cooperate across boundaries and appreciate the contributions of other people.

• A Master of Science degree in Physics or Electrical Engineering or similar; a PhD degree in the field of semiconductor device physics or related areas would be a plus
• At least 3-4 years of professional experience in semiconductor R&D
• Skilled in a laboratory environment with measurement equipment and handling components
• Fluent English communications and presentation skills; German language skills would be a plus

Knowledge and experience in at least 3 of the following fields:

• Understanding semiconductor technology, fabrication processes
• Characterization of semiconductor devices under DC, pulsed, and RF operating conditions
• TCAD device and process simulations and/or circuit simulations, e.g., ADS, Spice
• Programming and automation skills for data analysis in e.g., Python, MATLAB
• Knowledge of ESD protection devices, protection concepts, and the characterization thereof
