You’re the person who turns drawings, permits and plans into a build that’s safe, tidy and built to last. You notice the details others miss, you act early when something slips, and you leave every site in better shape than you found it. If that sounds like you, this role puts you right at the centre of a major fibre optic (FTTH) rollout work that strengthens digital access for communities and raises the bar for how civil engineering delivery should feel on the ground. You’ll join a future-focused telecommunications engineering organisation where decisions sit close to the work. Your judgement is trusted, your communication matters, and progress is visible every week not hidden in meetings.
Why this role This is a hands-on construction supervision role with real influence. You’ll bring structure to complex, fast-moving builds by coordinating subcontractors, aligning stakeholders, and protecting timelines, costs and quality without compromising safety or standards. If you like being the calm, capable presence that keeps a site moving, you’ll thrive here.
What you’ll do You’ll oversee construction measures end-to-end across civil works and line-technical installations, keeping delivery on track and escalating early when performance drops. You’ll work closely with municipalities, utility providers and project partners, ensuring route and traffic safety measures are correctly implemented and evidenced on site.
You’ll assess material and external service needs, manage call-offs and measurements, and take ownership of invoice verification. You’ll process and close operational and investment work orders, maintain accurate documentation and database records, and secure rights-of-way (Wegerecht) so build progress isn’t blocked by avoidable delays. Throughout, you’ll apply your working knowledge of construction law and VOB to keep delivery compliant, auditable and consistent.
About the company This is an established telecommunications engineering organisation helping deliver Germany’s next-generation fibre infrastructure. The culture is practical, collaborative and delivery-led: people communicate clearly, solve problems early, and take pride in doing things properly — especially when nobody is watching.
About you You’ve completed vocational training (apprenticeship or equivalent) and have solid experience supervising or supporting construction for communications networks. You’re confident managing service providers, running quality assurance, and controlling schedules and costs in live site environments. You speak German at native level, hold a Category B driving licence, and you’re comfortable working outdoors with high travel across the region.
Rewards & growth Alongside a competitive salary, you’ll receive attractive social benefits, a company car and modern tools to do the job well. You’ll have flexible working time models, structured training, and long-term progression in a stable, permanent full-time role backed by a supportive team that values straight talking and shared standards.
