The role will focus on defining expansion strategies and delivering strategic due-diligence services on behalf of our fast-growing client base.

The ideal candidate will be analytical and strategy-minded, with 2–4 years’ experience in a structured analytical role, such as strategy consulting, market research, corporate strategy, or international development roles within a foodservice business. Prior knowledge of the Europe North America and the Middle East foodservice industry is a significant advantage.

The role can be based anywhere in Europe (Germany/DACH preferred), will be predominantly remote-working based and shall involve some travelling. We offer a competitive remuneration package depending on the candidate's experience.

Strategic Advisory Consultant / Associate Consultant – detailed role specification

The role

As a Consultant / Associate Consultant within the Strategic Advisory team, you will support the delivery of some of the most important strategic challenges and decisions faced by our top-tier clients.

Working closely with senior team members, you will contribute to research, analysis, preparation of client deliverables across a range of assignments, including presentation support. This role reports to the Associate Partner – Head of Strategic Advisory.

Contributing to the development of bespoke growth strategies for our clients:

Market & Industry Analysis

Conduct structured research on markets, consumer habits, foodservice segments, industry trends, competitive landscapes and key trade areas Analyse price positioning and competitive benchmarks to support market positioning recommendations Develop an understanding of the client’s operating model, unit economics and financial performance Analyse key demand drivers and development potential across priority geographies Support in assessment of brand positioning, proposition and format suitability in new and existing markets

International Expansion Support

Contribute to country prioritisation frameworks, market entry evaluations and development roadmaps Assist in assessing suitable development models (e.g. franchise, JV, direct expansion) and support the preparation of market entry strategies Review and make recommendations on clients' development toolkits and information packages (marketing, legal, finance, operations, etc.) Develop structured case studies and market examples to support strategic decision-making

Strategic Analysis & Advisory Support

Collect and analyse quantitative and qualitative and translate findings into clear, evidence-based insights Analyse business models and unit-level economics to support strategic assessments Apply structured analytical thinking to support strategic assessments and projects Prepare clear, structured presentation materials for clients Participate in client meetings, discussions and presentations

Team & Development

Work across multiple assignments in a collaborative environment Maintain high standards of analytical rigour and attention to detail Proactively develop knowledge of the foodservice sector and contribute to internal research initiatives, for example our annual white paper

The attributes Degree educated Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with ability to present confidently to senior stakeholders. dealing with top-tier executives and entrepreneurs Fluency in English is mandatory. Fluency in German and any other European language would be a plus A minimum of 2–4 years’ experience in a structured analytical environment (e.g. strategy consulting, market research, advisory, corporate strategy or international development) Experience presenting analytical findings and insights to clients or senior stakeholders Strong interest in the restaurant and foodservice sector with a familiarity of key brands, operators and investors within the foodservice ecosystem is an advantage Excellent research and data collection skills, identifying the best sources with a strong ability to translate complex data into clear, compelling narratives Comfortable interpreting financial data and assessing business performance, including unit-level economics Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel Client-oriented, responsive, proactive, keen to work in a demanding and rigorous environment Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment with short deadlines when required Forensic mindset and strong attention to detail A team-player, with strong ethics and professional values (integrity, respect, transparency) Ambition to grow in the company WhiteSpace Partners operates as a remote organisation; Consultant / Associate Consultant can work from any European location; the position will include some travelling mainly in European countries
