Cost Accounting Manager

The Cost Accounting Manager Europe is responsible for establishing, maintaining and continuously improving a transparent and standardized cost accounting framework across the European regions. The role supports management decision- making by providing reliable cost information, analyses and management reporting, and acts as a key finance partner to operational leadership, Finance leadership and also the commercial organisation.

Key Responsibilities  Establish, develop and maintain internal cost and management reporting in close cooperation with commercial management  Implement, standardize and maintain costing and calculation schemes for pre- calculation and post-calculation in collaboration with technical and production management  Ensure consistent and accurate cost center, cost object and product cost accounting and standard costs across all European entities  Support operations and the commercial teams during new product launches by providing target costs for the new products  Actively contribute to the annual budgeting and forecasting process  Perform monthly and annual closing activities related to cost accounting, including variance and deviation analyses  Prepare profitability, make-or-buy and investment analyses to support business decisions  Lead and participate in cross-functional projects (e.g. process harmonization, ERP optimization, introduction of controlling tools)  Serve as a finance business partner for local finance teams and operational departments on cost-related topics

Your Profile

 Completed university degree in Business Administration, Controlling, Cost Accounting or a comparable qualification, ideally with a focus on Cost Accounting / Controlling  Relevant professional experience in cost accounting or controlling is an advantage  Practical experience with integrated ERP systems  Very good command of MS Office applications, especially Excel  Strong analytical skills, structured working style and high numerical affinity  Strong communication and collaboration skills in an international environment  Fluent English skills in speaking and writing; additional European languages are a plus
