Cost Estimator (Kalkulator) - Renewable Energy Sources

Our client is expanding its operations across Europe looking for qualified individuals with good market knowledge (Germany). Successful candidate will be responsible for preparingaccurate cost estimates and budgetsfor utility-scalesolar PV and onshore wind projects, supporting engineering, procurement, and project management teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpreting investor requirements to prepare cost estimates, offers, and project budgets in the format specified by the client.
• Preparing and issuing RFQs to suppliers and subcontractors, monitoring the German market, conducting negotiations, and evaluating bids based on technical competence, reliability, and compliance with local standards.
• Analysing project documentation and verifying it from a technical, optimisation, and financial perspective in coordination with designers and site/project managers.
• Developing cost calculations for renewable energy works (PV, wind) as well as general construction activities.
• Preparing tender offers based on tender specifications (Leistungsverzeichnis, Ausschreibungsunterlagen), project documentation, and internal calculations, including quantitative analysis of bill‑of‑quantities items.
• Maintaining close cooperation with the investor, engineering teams, and project execution departments.
• Ensuring effective day‑to‑day communication with other internal departments

Requirements

• University degree in a technical field, preferably electrical engineering or energy engineering.
• Knowledge of construction processes and applicable regulations in Germany (e.g., VOB, DIN standards).
• Proficiency in German atB2+ or ideally C1 level; strong language skills are essential.
• Good command of English (min. B2)
• Experience in a similar role within construction or renewable energy sectors.
• Ability to read and interpret technical and project documentation.
• Driving licence.
• Strong organisational skills, accuracy, independence, reliability, communication skills, and the ability to work under time pressure.
• Very good command of MS Office (especially Excel and MS Project) and CAD tools.
• Knowledge of material and service pricing in the renewable energy sector.
