Creative Director Architecture

As the Creative Director-Architecture (Competitions & Design), you will lead and shape the creative vision of architectural competition submissions and design projects. You will drive overall concept development, manage interdisciplinary teams, and ensure our design outputs are strategic, innovative, and of the highest quality.

You will be responsible for guiding design processes from initial concept through competitive presentation and beyond, while supporting and mentoring your team to deliver exceptional architectural solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and direct the conceptual design process for national and international architectural competitions and design projects.
• Serve as the primary creative authority, establishing and maintaining high standards in architectural form, narrative, and technical expression.
• Manage and coordinate design teams, including personnel planning, task allocation and mentoring.
• Oversee project organization from concept development through presentation and construction support phases.
• Support the integration of digital design tools, computational methods, AI, and other advanced technologies into design workflows.
• Actively contribute to team development through targeted employee leadership and supportive professional growth.
• Ensure design solutions are innovative, contemporary, and aligned with sustainability principles.
• Foster a collaborative and inspiring work environment that encourages creativity and excellence.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Extensive professional experience in architectural design and competition projects (typically 6-10+ years).
• Proven ability to lead design teams and manage complex competitive design processes.
• Strong conceptual and three-dimensional design capability with a passion for innovative architecture.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and team collaboration skills.
• Demonstrated ability to navigate fast-paced project sprints and high creative output.
• Comfortable integrating advanced design technologies and contemporary tools into design processes.
