Our international client is seeking a commercially minded Cross Border Promotion Manager / Key Account Manager to support the international growth of the business and develop relationships with global clients across Europe and beyond.
This role sits within the Business Promotion team at the European Headquarters in Düsseldorf and will play a key role in identifying and securing major construction projects internationally.
The Role
The Cross Border Promotion Manager will focus on business development, global client engagement, and project acquisition within the industrial and commercial construction sectors.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining relationships with global clients
- Identifying and acquiring new construction projects internationally
- Conducting market research and presenting company capabilities to potential clients
- Representing Takenaka at global trade fairs, industry events and networking activities
- Managing and developing key accounts across international markets
- Collaborating with internal teams across Takenaka’s 13 global branches to support project development
- Supporting project management activities during early project stages
- Identifying project risks, opportunities and cost implications together with operational teams
- Coordinating with customers, planners and subcontractors to gather project information
Candidate Profile
We are looking for a technically strong professional with a commercial mindset and international outlook.
Education
- Degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture
Experience
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in the construction or architecture sector
- Background in construction or project management preferred
- Experience in sales, client acquisition or bid preparation is advantageous but not essential
Candidates with strong communication and commercial skills transitioning from technical roles are also encouraged to apply.
