CSA Construction Lead

The CSA Construction Lead will typically lead large and technically challenging project(s) to a value of circa £30‑60m, or on a major project will take responsibility for the delivery of a large section of works. Reporting into the Project/Regional Director, the role has overall responsibility for delivery, safety, environmental, quality and profit & loss. The CSA Construction Lead is responsible for ensuring that the Sisk team is cohesive, communicates well together and operates as a single unit. The Senior PM adopts and communicates the Sisk core vision and values and embeds them with their teams and the supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the programme, method statements, prelims and submission documents
• Chair start‑up & internal meetings
• Prepare the procurement strategy with the QS and prequalify key supply chain
• Prepare a preliminary Risk Register and mitigate/manage any risks for the duration of the project
• Agree site layout, logistics and organise implementation in accordance with company guidelines
• Manage consultant and subcontract design as required by the contract, including delivery of the BIM strategy
• Manage subcontractors including progress meetings and pre‑order meetings
• Manage employee resources, including cover for site when staff are on annual leave or training
• Chair internal team meetings and attend/sub‑contractor meetings
• Attend, update and ensure accurate comprehensive minutes are issued from client/design team meetings
• Manage information flow and information required schedules
• Prepare contract reports, manage prelims in accordance with PEP and prepare applications for extension of time with SQS/QS
• Review constructability and identify methods of execution with commercial or programme advantage where possible
• Value HSEQS as a critical priority

Qualifications

• More than ten years’ experience working in the relevant sector or a minimum of 4‑5 projects delivered across different industry sectors
• Demonstrable holistic ‘end to end’ PM experience
• Academic and/or professional qualification in construction related subject. Ideally chartered
• SMSTS, CDM/PSCS
• Awareness of BBS, Root Cause Analysis & S5 & Q10 internal workshops
• Knowledge of key contract principles
• Excellent technical knowledge
• Articulate and numerate skills
